Jenny
In late October, while wandering the streets of South Central in search of Lana, a recent alumna who had escaped her adoptive home, we stumbled across Jenny and her three kittens. According to Lana's adopter, who was sharing the responsibility of feeding the young family with the homeowner in whose front yard they had taken up residence, the kittens before us were Jenny's second litter. The first, we were told, had survived to about eight weeks old, at which point they were brutally attacked overnight and discovered eviscerated the next morning. Fearing that the same fate would befall these guys—and with permission from the homeowner—we plucked them off the front yard, popped them into a carrier, and drove them to safety.
Although it took Jenny a little while to adjust to the good (indoor) life—for the first couple of weeks she would cry at the window at night—we are pleased to report that she has grown quite accustomed to creature comforts. In fact, we are pretty certain that at this point she wouldn't trade even one can of Royal Canin for another spin around her old block.
When she's not splayed out in a patch of sun or napping in a Mau cat tree, Jenny enjoys watching CatTV on a giant flatscreen or receiving a full body massage from the nearest human.
Jenny is fully vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, flea treated, FIV/FeLV negative, and spayed. Our vet estimates that she is between one and two years old. While she is completely unfazed by dogs, kids, or other cats, we believe she could do equally well as an only child.
